Rheumatology

In the rheumatology outpatient clinic, we deal with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. For patients who come to us with joint problems for the first time, we provide a wide range of differential diagnostic examinations. We carry out clinical and sonographic examination of affected joints, diagnostic puncture of joint fluid, capillaroscopic examination. We have the option of CT and MR examinations and, in connection with a cooperating medical center, also X-ray and complex laboratory examinations.

Our rheumatology department is classified as a biological treatment center, which means that it is possible to administer biological treatment based on and in accordance with contracts with individual health insurance companies that cover this treatment.

We provide long-term care to patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterev's disease), reactive arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, Sjögren's syndrome and other rarer inflammatory rheumatic diseases. We also care for patients with early arthritis and undifferentiated forms of arthritis. We treat patients with gout and chronic gouty arthritis, with osteoarthritis of the small hand joints or bearing joints of the lower limbs, with painful limitation of shoulder joint mobility.
