Examination, diagnosis and treatment

- Diagnosis and treatment of vertebrogenic disorders: back pain with involvement of nerve roots, where we offer standard facet joint injections and nerve root blocks with local anesthetics and corticosteroids, manual medicine; in collaboration with our CT department, we provide targeted periradicular injections (PRT) or periradicular ozone therapy for patients with lumbar radiculopathy. If caudal epidural blocks are necessary, we collaborate with pain management centers.

- We provide infusion analgesic therapy for patients with back pain involving nerve roots in our outpatient facility.

- Diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy.

- Diagnosis and treatment of headaches: migraines, tension-type headaches.

- Trigeminal neuralgia, often collaborating with pain management centers in these cases.

- Diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases with predominant memory impairment, such as Alzheimer's dementia.

- Diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases with predominant motor system impairment, such as Parkinson's disease.

- Neurological examinations for balance disorders, collaborating with ENT and vestibular clinics.

- We treat patients with sequelae of stroke and also provide symptomatic treatment and monitoring for vascular dementia.

- Diagnosis and treatment of peripheral nerve disorders: polyneuropathy, entrapment syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome or cubital tunnel syndrome.

- We are involved in the initial process of diagnosing neuromuscular diseases, collaborating with tertiary neuromuscular centers (FTN, FN Motol), for example in the diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

- We are involved in the initial process of diagnosing autoimmune inflammatory diseases, especially Multiple Sclerosis. Upon diagnosis, we refer patients to MS centers where treatment with disease-modifying therapies (DMT) is managed, and continue to monitor patients in our clinic.

- In cases of detection of structural changes in the nervous system (tumors, vascular abnormalities...), and also in cases requiring spine surgery, we collaborate with neurosurgical departments, primarily UVN, Hospital Homolka, FNKV, FN Motol.
