Nephrology

The nephrology clinic provides internal care to patients with kidney diseases. We continuously monitor patients with chronic kidney diseases, such as chronic glomerulonephritis, kidney impairment due to systemic diseases (diabetes, hypertension, atherosclerosis, various vasculitides, and collagenoses, etc.), and those with congenital kidney disorders. We also follow patients with chronic non-infectious kidney inflammations (drug-induced kidney damage, etc.) and those with recurrent kidney and urinary tract infections. For patients with urinary stones, we offer examinations to determine possible causes of their formation. We diagnose and treat patients with high blood pressure, especially when caused by kidney or vascular conditions. We provide ongoing care and treatment for patients with reduced kidney function, and offer advice on selecting the most suitable methods for kidney function replacement in cases of kidney failure.

We specialize in metabolic disorders caused by inadequate kidney function. These include disorders of calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin D metabolism, associated with bone metabolism disorders - so-called renal bone disease - and diseases of the parathyroid glands caused by kidney issues. Other metabolic disorders related to the kidneys may involve disrupted lipid metabolism, inadequate red blood cell production, and others.

We conduct non-invasive examinations using laboratory blood and urine tests, ultrasound, CT scans, and magnetic resonance imaging.
