Examination of abdominal organs: liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, retroperitoneum, including the lymph nodes, kidneys and surroundings, urinary tract, examination of the function of the bladder – capacity
Pelvic examination: uterus and uterine appendages, including Douglas space (women) and prostate (men)
Examination of vascular abdominal structures: v. portae, abd. aorta and other major blood vessels including renal arteries
Examination of the throat: thyroid, parathyroid, nodes, parotid, submandibularis, supraclavicular lymph nodes
Soft tissue examination: skin, subcutaneous tissue, the extent and character of haematomas, the development of abscesses, tumors
Breast examination, axilla
Scrotum examination: testicles, epididymis, fluid in scrotum
Joint examination: especially knee joint (width of the aperture, liquid content including Baker’s pseudocysts, or malformed meniscus)
Examination of extracranial and peripheral vessels
Examination of the presence of free or encapsulated fluid intrathoracic and intraabdominal
