The Principle of an Ultrasound Machine
The ultrasound machine consists of a computer unit with reconstruction software and an ultrasound probe. This probe works both as a transmitter and a receiver of ultrasonic waves. The principle of an ultrasound machine is based on the fact that when ultrasonic waves spread in the environment they recoil. These recoils are not always the same and they depend on the environment which the wave passes. These recoils are received back by the probe and the software is able, based on the differences in the recoils reconstruct an US image.
